I sure do love a good hiatus. It seems to be my thing. But after a little time away I found myself missing writing.
Summer quickly ended & soon enough I was right back at Penn State finishing up my senior year! So far the year has been filled with endless papers and stressful situations in & out of the classroom. I recently had my appendix taken out; so that was a surprise to say the least. However, I had my family and friends along my side supporting me through the surprise procedure. It really opened my eyes to the friends that truly cared about me; such as my best friend who I abruptly woke up at 5am asking her to take me to the hospital, which she did without complaint, & for that I am truly grateful.
One thing that has changed is that I have been trying for less tv & more reading. I’ve always loved reading but being in college it is hard to make time for reading when you’re spending all your time reading textbooks. I have already read so many great books this year, such as In Cold Blood by. Truman Capote, The girl with the Dragon Tattoo by. Stieg Larsson, The Bell Jar by. Sylvia Plath, and The Rules of Magic by. Alice Hoffman. I strongly recommend all of these books, which range from the original true crime story to a magical love story. I love traveling, and being in school I don’t have the opportunity to go explore, that is why books are so amazing; they can take you to incredible places.
Go pick up a book, trust me you won’t regret it.
